There was a thread on this subject last fall, and it (plus some other things) got me thinking about a project I'd had in mind for a while. Logging railroad diesels has always been a subject I've found fascinating, and my traditional approach usually involved compiling lists of logging operations that survived to the diesel era.
Klamath County is also the fourth largest county in Oregon encompassing more than square miles. Considered high desert, the region basks in an average of days of sunshine per year. Klamath Lake, which covers square miles, borders the city of Klamath Falls on the north and is the largest natural lake west of the Great Salt Lake.
